After spending the past 2 years as a student of Entertainment Business I've come to realize the overdue need for alternative management in the Industry. Too many record labels have taken the music industry and flushed it down the tubes. Many actors in the world have been forced to move away from their creative passions to do films merely for a large check. A check that they would be sharing with their agency and others to which they hold contracts.
In a nutshell what I want to create from this blog is a business plan that would allow me to develop an "out of the box" management practice. Not only would I be working with up and coming artists and actors on representation but as a one stop shop for many of their needs. I would like to integrate management with an in house our closely affiliated recording studio, video production, photography, printing and pressing, promotion, etc. This may be a long shot but it's what I want to achieve. I'm sick of hearing about artists loosing money on their own work. No one should be stripped of their creative endeavors on the count of a stingy label, agency, etc.
If anyone has any input for me on any of these endeavors please fill me in. I need all the help I can get on starting this business plan and getting it off the ground.
